Indian mackerel are warm water fishes commonly found in the Indian and West Pacific oceans and their surrounding seas.It is an important food fish commonly used in South and South East Asian cuisines. Nutritionally,it is a rich source of omega-3 fatty acids. It is known to be very effective in regulating hormonal levels and also improves the elasticity of blood vessels. Beneficial in decreasing bad cholesterol and increasing good cholesterol levels. It strengthens the immune system and regulates metabolism.

Delicious savoury taste with strong flavour similar to Salmon, the fish flesh is firm however oilier than Tilapia.
